We all know that a certain savings card for a certain store is always a good idea. Like the Clicks card, for example.
The auditors have their Xtra savings card and they hope people sign up for it.

How are they going to get consumers to get it? By having a huge discount that only applies if you have the card. They dubbed this weekend the âXtra Xtra Inaugural Weekendâ with discounts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Now it’s a surprise to find out that the competition was doing the same.
Pick n Pay calls theirs âsmart sellingâ for Smart Shopper cardholders. It started on Thursday and also continues until Sunday, October 17.

It is therefore absolutely vital that you have the special cards for each of the stores. If you don’t have one, now is the time to shop for less.
Here are some of our favorite specials from Checkers and Pick n Pay this weekend!
– Long-life milk between R11 and R12 per liter
– Toilet paper at just over R4 per roll
Pick n Pay sells its 9s packs of private label 2-ply toilet paper at R 75 for two, at an effective price of R 4.17 per roll for the minimum you will need to purchase. At Checkers, this is the Baby Soft brand of toilet paper on special, and you will need to purchase three packs of 9, for R120. That’s an effective R4.44 per roll for the minimum of 27.

– Nescafé Cappuccino sticks at R4 and below
Checkers sells a range of Nescafé coffee at R150 for two. Pick n Pay advertises 10 packs of the same cappuccino mix for R40, so R4 per stick even if you only buy ten.
– R12 to R15 for two liter bottles of Fanta and Sparletta

– R35 per kg for the Stork or Flora spread
The price is the same, even if the brands are different.
Checkers would like you to purchase four Flora spreads, in 500g jars, for R90, for a price of R35 per kg.
At Pick n Pay, the offer is two jars of Stork Country Spread – each 1 kg – for R70, also the same R35 per kilo.
– R10 to R11.50 for a loaf of bread
So you can definitely go there for a lot more!
